String instruments are a joy to learn! 

 

BNPS Strings is a long running, successful program that allows students to learn to play string instruments with highly trained local teachers with the convenience of school-based lessons and rehearsals. Many alumni continue their playing throughout high school and some have continued on to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Our students are able to learn how to play the violin or cello in groups and/or individually with opportunities to perform in front of the school or at bigger events such as the Festival of Instrumental Music.

Strings are suited to an enormous variety of musical styles; from Irish fiddle to Latin tango, bush dance to classical symphony and string students develop excellent general music skills that can transfer easily to other instruments.

Students and parents are encouraged to make the commitment and have a go at learning this beautiful instrument.
